*I actually wrote this on Saturday, January 26, 2013, on the bus ride home but couldn’t upload the post due to technical difficulties.*
Yesterday was an incredible experience. Thank you for following my live blog chronicle, I hope it gave you a sense of how the day goes! I really intended to keep blogging after the March ended, but after passing the Supreme Court we made our way to the Rayburn building and visited Representatives Chabot and Wenstrup, and exhaustion set in during that visit and I needed a break.
They had Chick-fil-a sandwiches for us to eat and we stayed a while to warm up and chat with different folks from the Cincinnati area who had also marched. It was neat to see so many high school groups! The day was cold, and the feet and hand warmers I brought helped a great deal. I did take lots of digital photos and will download them tomorrow.
This morning I rode the Metro to the National Mall to visit a Smithsonian museum and the National Gallery of Art. The bus picked us up near the Washington Monument and then we were headed back home to Cincinnati!
The bus ride home has been much like the ride to Washington; everyone is cheerfully chatting and we have watched the movie “For Greater Glory” and prayed a patriotic rosary. A few people have given their testimony about their Pro-Life volunteer work, which is great. I definitely want to get involved with something like this when I get home.
I had intended to post my digital photos, but ended up not bringing my computer as our hotel charged for internet access and I realized our tight schedule wouldn’t allow the time to do so. I will upload some of those photos in the next few days.
